3. A bad moment does not equate a bad day.

We all have bad days. One bad thing happens things begin to feel like they are spiralling out of control. 4. Change is a good thing.

At a time when it feels like the world is standing still, change can be a positive thing. Whilst it can be paralysing not being able to visualise the outcome, try to remember that change is inevitable. Consider the ramifications of staying where you are and weigh those up against the place you could be if you were brave enough to take a step forward. It doesn't need to be huge, but embracing change and the unknown is essential for personal growth.

5. Positive affirmations.

Positive affirmations are positive statements that can help you to stop self-sabotage and negative thoughts in their track. By repeating these short statements daily, you start to believe in them and they can help to reframe your mindset and affect positive change in your life. Growing up, our mum used to write positive affirmations on our mirror so we would look at them everyday!

7. Show more kindness.

Showing kindness to others helps us to experience positive changes in our physical and mental well-being by relieving stress and triggering happy hormones such as oxytocin, dopamine and serotonin. But kindness isn't just for others. It's also for ourselves. Just as you would treat others with kindness, show yourself the same grace and empathy.
